Band 5 Radiology Nurse Pioneering, enthusiastic, dedicated, caring and highly skilled. These are a few words that describe the Interventional Radiology nursing team within our Health Board. Are you interested in developing your nursing skills working with a highly skilled interventional team? We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated nurse who is keen to pursue a career within clinical interventional Radiology and be part of an exciting time with the specialist care centre at The Grange University Hospital at Llanfrechfa, Cwmbran, alongside our existing sites at The Royal Gwent Hospital and Nevill Hall Hospital. The role will also include being part of the highly skilled on call team, once all training and competencies have been achieved. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply. - Successfully complete a locally approved orientation programme. - To support a clinical environment that is patient and public focused. - To assist in developing an environment which supports the value of nursing care within the radiology department - To take responsibility for the assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of a defined group of patients as appropriate. - To liase and communicate with members of the multidisciplinary team in the planning and delivery of patient care. - To be aware of and demonstrate practice based on current advances in nursing. - To participate in the formal monitoring of standards. - To act as an advocate for patients and their significant others. - To maintain accurate records/standards for documentation, including IT, data collection and input. - To manage patients with complex needs and act as a resource for junior staff with these patients. This is a Secondment post for 12 months to cover the needs of the service.
